(english below) Se cercate su Internet “mangiare a playa del carmen” o “ristoranti a playa del carmen” la Taqueria Diaz non viene fuori (forse dopo questo post sì) ed è un peccato, perchè è un posto delizioso dove si mangiano dei tacos e dell’arrachera davvero ottimi.

Come sempre i posti migliori ti vengono incontro da soli, tu devi solo camminare. L’altro giorno stavo gironzolando fuori dal centro di Playa del Carmen, troppo affollato, turistico e brandizzato per i miei gusti, quando a fianco a me si apre una saracinesca.

Dentro una specie di Box doppio, che il signor Diaz tiene ordinato e pulitissimo, si servono dei tacos morbidi e freschissimi. Alla sera non posso che andare a cena lì. E, infatti, mangio alla grande con 8 dollari.

La Taqueria diaz si trova all’angolo tra la calle 1 e la Avenida 20 a playa del carmen, se venite qui una visita è d’obbligo. E provate i frijoles charros.

If you search on the internet “dinner in playa del carmen” or “restaurants in playa del carmen” the Taqueria Diaz won’t be among the results (maybe after this post it will). But it should because it’s a great place where you eat delicious tacos and arrachera (beef). As always are the best places that find you, and not the other way. I was walking in the mexican area of Playa del Carmen, away from the over-touristy 5th avenue and suddenly this place opened up as I was walking by. Mr Diaz keeps the place so clean and tidy that I immediately decided where I would have had dinner that night. And it was a great dinner, with soft, tasty tacos and meat for just 8 dollars. Should you come to Playa del Carmen, Taqueria Diaz is a must-go. You find it at the crossroad of 1st street and 20th avenue. And don’t forget to try frijoles charros.
